Job Opportunity: Warehouse Manager

Vickerstock is partnering with an FMCG firm based in Belfast to appoint a Warehouse Manager.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team including a Warehouse Supervisor, Goods In Supervisor, Stock Controller, and approximately 12 Operatives.
  • Oversee receiving, sales order picking, packing, shipping, manpower planning, value-added services, and quality assurance.
  • Manage order processing and stock management systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement for stock management.
  • Monitor KPIs such as distribution costs, pick rates, inventory levels, warehouse efficiency, attendance, and service levels.
  • Optimize material flow by eliminating hazards and waste.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to product, process, and quality cost-effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues, and team procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility, promote safety practices, and conduct safety training.
  • Ensure staff are trained in equipment operation safety.
  • Develop relationships with key transport suppliers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Educated to A Level or HND level.
  • Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
