  • Take ownership of performance across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring consistent processes, clear standards and effective communication between sites.
  • Lead, manage and develop warehouse staff, including workload planning, task allocation, training, performance management, absence cover and day-to-day supervision.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve warehouse system functionality, ensuring processes support accurate stock control, efficient order fulfilment and reliable reporting.
  • Drive improvements in warehouse layout, workflow, space utilisation and stock organisation to support productivity, accuracy and future business growth.
  • Reduce picking, packing, goods-in and stock movement errors by introducing clear procedures, controls, checks, training and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate stock records through robust stock control disciplines, cycle counts, investigations, corrective actions and collaboration with purchasing, customer service and finance teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including stock accuracy, order accuracy, goods-in turnaround, picking productivity, dispatch performance, error rates and staff performance.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with health and safety requirements, company procedures, equipment rules, manual handling expectations and housekeeping standards.
  • Support business projects relating to warehouse systems, ERP/WMS functionality, process automation, scanning, reporting and operational change.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and other departments to ensure warehouse activity supports customer service, purchasing, sales and wider business objectives.
Profile

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads across multiple areas and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance and customer service.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.
