Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Warehouse Operative to perform inbound, storage, picking, packing, staging and outbound tasks in our UK operations. You will ensure inventory accuracy, support packaging and shipment, and use warehouse systems and equipment safely.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in warehouse or distribution roles, and a practical understanding of distribution center workflows. CSCP certification is a plus; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting product descriptions, names, and shelf labels.
• Knowledge in basic mathematics.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to organize work with attention to detail.
• Knowledge in distribution center workflow.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance.
• Ability to apply judgment when following detailed instructions.
• Knowledge in basic computer operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to solve routine operational problems.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including reach trucks, picker machines, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs inbound, storage, picking, packing, staging, and outbound activities in accordance with operating requirements.
• Validates inventory transactions, stock counts, and material movements to sustain traceability and inventory accuracy.
• Organizes storage locations, stock rotation, and replenishment activities to improve accessibility and flow efficiency.
• Handles packaging preparation, conditioned materials, labeling, and shipment support tasks to meet transport requirements.
• Resolves routine operational exceptions involving stock discrepancies, shortages, and order issues through timely follow-up.
• Operates warehouse systems, scanning tools, and approved equipment to support safe and controlled execution.
