Warehouse Health and Safety Officer

Our St Ives based client is a family ran business. They have a warm environment where everyone works as a team. They are seeking a highly motivated Health, Safety and Compliance Officer who is passionate to grow and develop their skill set with the company and be committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all their employees.

The key responsibilities for the Warehouse Health & Safety Officer:

1. Motivate staff to adhere to health and safety practices.
2. Performance monitoring and compliance.
3. Collating statistical information for health and safety management.
4. Evidence compliance within auditing.
5. Undertake inspections on site and working at heights.
6. Present information in forms, tables and spreadsheets.
7. Development of a robust management system and assisting the directors finding the right strategy for H&S moving forward and supporting the Senior Staff to Lead the H&S initiatives.

Skills required for the Warehouse Health & Safety Officer:

1. Some experience or formal qualifications within Health & Safety.
2. Keen to learn, willing to ask questions, conscientious and motivated.
3. Team player, great communication skills.
4. Calm under pressure in a busy environment.
5. Working knowledge of a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Working hours for the Warehouse Health & Safety Officer:

Monday to Friday 37 hour per week.
