Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the Midlands is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Kegworth site. You will drive performance, safety and teamwork across the warehouse, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting customer expectations.

You will oversee shifts between 7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm, manage a designated department, promote health and safety, monitor KPIs and report insights to improve efficiency. The role is permanent with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced warehouse or complex supply chain environment.
• Demonstrated people management skills, with experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Strong IT literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a designated warehouse department, working collaboratively with other teams to maximise overall productivity.
• Oversee and promote a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures.
• Delegate daily tasks effectively to direct reports, providing guidance, monitoring progress, and ensuring all deadlines are safely met within agreed timeframes.
• Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs, supporting management with insights to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high work standards by communicating expectations clearly and coordinating resource levels to meet operational demands.
