Crown Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited in Carlisle is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our manufacturing and distribution. The role involves continuous shifts (2 x 12 hours days & 2 x 12 hour nights, followed by 4 rest days) at Botcherby, Carlisle (UK).

You will operate counterbalance forklifts, perform pre-shift checks, manage inventory, and ensure FIFO and safety practices are followed. A license and experience are required, with the team focusing on efficient, safe material

Qualifikationen

• Valid and current Forklift Operator license/certification (e.g., counterbalance).
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
• Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving documents and inventory labels.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
• Accurately move and store raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory, adhering to FIFO principles where applicable.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE and following safe operating practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.

We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Forklift Operator working continuous shifts (2 x 12 hours days & 2 x 12 hour nights, followed by 4 rest days), based in Botcherby, Carlisle (UK).
