Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Goresbrook site on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee shift operations to ensure safety, quality and timely service to major FMCG brands.

In this role you will manage a team of operatives, drive performance using WMS/SAP tools, maintain compliance, and coordinate with admin, stock and management teams to resolve issues and deliver customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in FLM or Senior WH Operative roles.
• Strong knowledge of operational and people management.
• Good computer skills with high attention to detail; knowledge of WMS and SAP advantageous.
• Ability to motivate and empower others, while providing staff development and coaching.
• Adaptable with proactive communication and collaboration.
• Systematic, methodical approach to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact between administration, stock and management to resolve warehouse issues.
• Prepare and complete shifts handover documents for smooth transitions.
• Performance management of operatives using warehouse tools.
• Manage your team and ensure policy compliance.
• Create training and resource plans to match capability requirements.
• Ensure compliance with key control, logs and MHE checks.
