Job description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team in Sherburn on a full-time permanent basis!

Role Overview

As the Warehouse First Line Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operations to ensure service levels are achieved safely and efficiently. You will be a vital link in ensuring customer requirements are met consistently.

We work with some of the largest well-known brands at this site, so customer focus and satisfaction are key in this role.

Working Hours and Salary

Hours: 3 on 3 off, 6am-6pm

Salary: £31,953 per annum

Key Duties
  1. Act as the main point of contact for communication with administration, stock, and management teams to resolve issues within the warehouse.
  2. Prepare and complete shift handover documents and distribute data to ensure seamless shift transitions.
  3. Manage performance of operatives using warehouse management system tools.
  4. Ensure team compliance with policies and procedures.
  5. Create training and resource plans to ensure the team has the necessary skills.
  6. Ensure compliance with key control, logs, radio logs, scanner logs, and MHE pre-operation checks.
  7. Complete all safety and legal requirements, signing off monthly WM checks.
  8. Assist with weekly customer updates as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a FLM or senior warehouse operative role, ideally in a fast-paced logistics/3PL environment.
  • Operational and people management knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of WMS systems and SAP being advantageous.
  • Ability to motivate, empower, and develop staff.
  • Proactive communication and consultation skills.
  • Systematic, methodical approach to achieving goals.
