Job description

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team in Sherburn on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Warehouse First Line Manager, you will oversee operations to ensure safety and efficiency, serving as a key link in meeting customer requirements.

We work with some of the largest brands, emphasizing customer satisfaction in this role.

Working hours: 3 on 3 off, 6am-6pm.

Salary: £31,953 per annum.

Key Duties:
  1. Act as the primary contact for communication with administration, stock, and management teams to resolve warehouse issues.
  2. Prepare and complete shift handover documents and distribute tracking data for seamless transitions.
  3. Manage performance of operatives using warehouse management systems.
  4. Ensure team compliance with policies and procedures.
  5. Create training and resource plans to ensure appropriate skills on shift.
  6. Ensure compliance with key controls, logs, and safety checks.
  7. Complete all Safe & Legal checks with monthly WM reviews.
  8. Assist with weekly customer updates as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a FLM or senior warehouse operative role, preferably in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of operations and people management.
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of WMS and SAP advantageous.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and coach staff.
  • Proactive communication and teamwork skills.
  • Systematic and methodical approach to work.
