Job description

Overview

We're looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our client\'s team in Gloucester. This may become a permanent role for the right candidate, and you\'ll be responsible for managing the performance of our Warehouse and Cross Dock teams across all shifts.

The site is easily reachable from Gloucester city centre

Hours and Rate of Pay

• 40 hours per week.
• 04:00 start. Can flex to 06:00.
• Up to £21 per hour depending on experience.

The Role

• Lead and manage the Warehouse & Cross Dock operations, ensuring performance targets are achieved.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across site management and operational teams.
• Foster a positive, safety-first culture by actively engaging in QSHE initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all processes, policies, and relevant legislation.
• Manage budgets, cost controls, and service levels.
• Deputise for the Senior Operations Manager when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar warehouse or cross dock management role.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Sound knowledge of WMS and stock control processes.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and financial management.
