Summary:


To serve external customer by shipping out finished goods; to serve internal customers by providing materials to production and distributing items to appropriate person; to verify & accept shipments; to maintain finished goods inventory.


Hours: 7am-3pm Monday Through Friday


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Works safely: by reviewing, clarifying, following safety rules/procedures; handling materials and operating equipment safely; enforcing safe warehouse procedures with vendors and associates; maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse using good housekeeping and 5S practices; ensuring regulatory compliance; and properly disposing of hazardous waste according to regulations. Associate must receive DOT/RCRA training and Dunmore annual hazardous waste training.

  • Ensures quality standards: by supporting production schedules; reviewing and ensuring PO, customer shipping specs, job specs, SMPs, and SOPs are met; supplying materials to support quality and productivity; verifying & recording inventory transactions; communicating damages and non-conformances.

  • Prepares shipments: by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers per specifications; loading and operating stretch wrap machines and forklifts; preparing shipment documents; recording transactions and maintaining traceability.

  • Ships orders: by verifying order accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, and arranging shipment methods; maintaining related files; communicating status updates.

  • Supports production: by locating and delivering materials; reviewing production schedules; assisting with operational and quality procedures.

  • Keeps documentation system current and accurate: by following procedures; recording items received, transfers, and shipments; documenting non-conformances; maintaining files.

  • Optimizes Warehouse: by organizing inventory efficiently; utilizing racking systems; documenting locations and levels; maintaining adequate stock levels.

  • Manages Warehouse vendors and services: by receiving deliveries; monitoring levels; placing and expediting orders; conducting forklift/hand-truck inspections.

  • Supports inventory: by verifying receipt of materials; performing cycle counts; maintaining storage for 'down-graded/seconds film'.

  • Takes delivery of and verifies items received: by reviewing delivery lists; unloading vehicles; inspecting items; noting discrepancies; inputting data; storing goods.

Education and Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent; desire to work collaboratively and independently.

  • Ability to organize, maintain, and improve inventory, warehouse, shipping, and receiving processes; understanding of safety and operational procedures; effective communication skills; basic math and measurement skills; computer proficiency in basic applications (Excel, Word, Access).

  • Willingness to learn and adhere to 5S principles; teamwork orientation emphasizing safety, productivity, and process improvement.
