Job Details

Our Warehouse Coin Teller is a crucial team member responsible for the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing coins within our state-of-the-art cash processing center in the Shrewsbury, MA area. Operating within a dynamic environment, the Warehouse Coin Teller contributes significantly to maintaining the precision of our coin vault, housed within the Federal Reserve Depot. This role emphasizes not only the completion of tasks but also the method in which they are executed, making it an integral part of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain coin processing equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Accurately and efficiently count and log coin shipments using our Logistics software system.
  • Handle and sort coin bags weighing up to 50 pounds, with consistent lifting capabilities of 50-75 pounds.
  • Manage the proper storage of pallets and skids containing boxed and bagged coins.
  • Oversee the Federal Reserve Coin inventory.
  • Prepare and palletize incoming and outgoing coin shipments.
  • Lift bulk coins repetitiously, using equipment such as hand carts or manual pallet jacks.
  • Assist the management team in preparing and loading currency/coin orders for delivery.
  • Ensure precise counting and tracking of all vault assets.
  • Maintain the safety and confidentiality of negotiable records.
  • Communicate any delays, issues, concerns, or problems promptly to the supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Utilize various equipment, including a PC with keyboard and barcode scanner, coin sorter/counter, calculator, copier, scanner, fax, telephone, and printer.
  • Adaptability to continuous hours of standing or sitting, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Work efficiently in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and limited exposure to outside light.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One or more years of teller, cash vault teller, cage cashier or equivalent cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Excellent math skills and accuracy are required.
  • Must be able to use a computer and other cash processing equipment.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity are of utmost importance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 30 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds, as needed.
  • Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another.
  • Pushing or pulling.
  • Reaching overhead, and at or below shoulder level.
  • Use of keyboard and mouse.
  • Repeating motions, which includes the wrist, hands, and or fingers.
  • Stoop, crouch, or kneel.
  • Near visual acuity.
  • Use of stairs.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
