Job summary

Metal Supermarkets Boston North in Woburn, MA is seeking a permanently full-time Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver to process orders and assist customers, moving between the service counter, office, and shop floor.

You will cut orders with metal-cutting equipment, operate a forklift, receive and stock materials, maintain inventory, and keep the warehouse safe and clean. Regular hours Monday to Friday emphasize teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and clean record.
• physically able to lift/move metal products weighing 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cut customer orders to specifications using metal-cutting equipment.
• Safely operate a forklift to move material around the Warehouse.
• Receive, identify and stock incoming materials as required.
• Inventory maintenance and control.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment ensuring safety first.
• Keep the Warehouse clean, organized and safe at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Future Opening: Warehouse Associate / Delivery driver

Responsible for processing orders while maintaining the highest level of customer service possible. You’ll spend the day on your feet, moving between our customer service counter, the office, and the shop floor. You’ll consult with trade professionals and do-it-yourselfers, helping them where they need it. It will take strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail. As our Delivery Driver you will be responsible for delivery of customer orders when needed, pickup of material from vendors, and helping out by processing orders in the warehouse, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cut customer orders to customer specifications using metal-cutting equipment such as saws, hydraulic shear, etc.
• Safely operate a forklift to move material around the Warehouse
• Receive, identify and stock incoming materials, as required
• Inventory maintenance & control
• Assist in proper maintenance of equipment (saws, forklift, etc.) ensuring safety first for everyone
• Ensure Warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Perform other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments – i.e.: tape measure and dial calipers
• 2 years’ driving experience
• Valid Driver’s license, clean driving record and insurable
• Physically able to frequently lift/move metal product weighing 50 -100 lbs
