Job Title:Warehouse Assistant with Valid Counterbalance FLT
Location:NR15
Employment Type:Full-time -Temporary
Shift:Day Shift 8:00-16:00 or 9:00-17:00
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a proactive and dependable Warehouse Assistant to join a well-established manufacturer of garden buildings. This is a hands-on role where you will support dispatch operations, stock control, and the loading/unloading of deliveries. The successful candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and be comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review daily customer order manifests and prepare required orders.
  • Update stock control systems related to orders and inventory.
  • Coordinate and oversee the unloading and loading of lorries, ensuring timely dispatch of garden products.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
  • Replenish timber stock and products to designated orders.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding warehouse operations.
  • Use a PC to update stock control systems, process orders, and communicate via email
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or dispatch role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities without direct supervision.
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
  • Basic computer skills for updating stock control and order processing systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
