Warehouse Assistant Vacancies - Manchester

We are seeking to fill two Warehouse Assistant positions for a valued client on a temp to perm basis in the Manchester area. This involves completing a set period working at this site for Driver Hire before transitioning seamlessly to the client on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Managing and maintaining the trade counter
• Handling customer inquiries regarding equipment hire and return
• Raising customer orders
• Managing deliveries in and out
• Picking orders for the following day
• Processing goods in and out for the new plant process
• Cycle counting of spares and equipment
• Checking and identifying discrepancies during driver check-in at shift end
• General housekeeping

The role requires the use of a computer tablet, so candidates must be IT literate and able to work proactively.

During quieter periods, duties may include assisting engineers and other tasks to support business needs, providing opportunities to upskill and progress within the company.

The hourly rate for the Warehouse Assistant is GBP 12.25, with an additional holiday pay of 12.07% during the temp-to-perm period, increasing the effective rate to GBP 13.75 per hour.
