JPS specialise in providing solutions and building materials for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities. We're on the hunt for a Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join the team in our new site in Selby, who's as passionate about great service as we are!

Working Hours: 7.30 – 5.00 Monday to Friday (permanent, full time position)

Location: JPS, Unit C4, Vivars Industrial Estate, Selby, YO8 8BE

Key Responsibilities

This is a busy and varied role working with a great team in our new site. You'll cover warehouse and customer service duties and some of our outgoing deliveries. You'll interact with customers on a daily basis and ensure that the best service is always demonstrated to them.

• Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions
• Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse in a timely manner
• Load and unload customer and supplier vehicles
• Perform customer deliveries and safely unload at their specified sites using our 3.5t van
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products and carry out regular stock counts
• Process customer orders at the trade counter, arrange deliveries and update customers on their orders
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and your team safe at work

Required Skills And Experience

• A full UK manual driving license, held for a minimum of 1 year, with no more than 6 points
• Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
• Stellar communication and people skills
• Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
