Minster, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Warehouse & Yard Assistant in Glasgow who's as passionate about great service as we are. At Minster we believe that our greatest asset is our people.

Hours: 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. You will welcome customers, process orders, load/unload with a forklift (training provided), manage stock, and help keep the branch safe and tidy.

Qualifications

• Previous industry experience preferred.
• Background within Warehouse Management, ideally within construction materials.
• A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader.
• A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a 'customer 1st' attitude.
• Confident working both indoors and outdoors.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety.
• Commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects.
• Process and prepare customer orders; load/unload vehicles using a forklift (training provided).
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
• Maintain stock levels in warehouse and yard; perform regular stock counts.
• Keep the branch clean and tidy; prioritise Health & Safety.
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement.
• Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck work.

Forklift Experience Required.

Hours: 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
• Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
• Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
• Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck work
