Job summary

Holdsworth Foods is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations and coordinate distribution activities. The role reports to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager and operates Monday to Friday with 9:00–18:00 hours, plus Saturdays when required for sickness/holiday coverage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for freezer/warehouse duties, forklift/reach truck handling with full training provided, and ensuring accurate goods-in processing, stock

Qualifications

• Must have a 7.5t driving licence.
• Willing to work Saturdays when necessary to cover sickness/holidays.
• Experience in warehouse operations and distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a freezer and warehouse on a daily basis.
• Offload supplier deliveries using forklift or reach truck; full training provided.
• Check goods in and process on computer; carry out stock checks when required.
• Top up picking bays; general housekeeping; check driver returns against paperwork.
• Sort returns and prepare for shipment; process DVNs and uplifts daily.
• Carry out vehicle inspections daily and liaise with drivers about deliveries.

Job description

This newly created role of Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor will report to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager and work Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm. The successful candidates must have a 7.5t driving licence and be prepared to work Saturdays when necessary to cover for sickness and holidays and carry out deliveries if necessary

Duties will include:

• Working in both a freezer and warehouse on a daily basis
• Offload supplier deliveries using the forklift or reach truck. Full training on both counterbalance and reach truck will be provided
• Accurately check goods in and process on computer
• Carry out stock checks when required
• Top up picking bays when necessary
• General housekeeping
• Check driver returns against paperwork
• Sort out returns (frozen. Chilled and ambient) and prepare for shipment to Evesham
• Process DVNs and uplifts daily
• Carry out vehicle inspections daily to check for damage, cleanliness, box lights etc and complete the necessary paperwork
• Route vehicles on the computer system and liaise with drivers each afternoon regarding the next days deliveries
• Any other duties normally assigned to a Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor
