Job summary

Medequip Assistive Technology Limited is offering an apprenticeship as a Warehouse Operative in the UK. You will work alongside experienced staff to perform warehouse duties, learn a range of skills under supervision, and progress through the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative course.

You will be required to complete a DBS check, refreshed every 2 years, and maintain good housekeeping while developing a professional approach on site.

Qualifications

• Complete the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative course (Level 2).
• Be required to pass a DBS check (renewed every 2 years).
• Learn health and safety requirements in the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Build flatpack equipment and load/unload vans.
• Book stock in and scan stock out; clean returned equipment and restock.
• Carry out repairs to specialised pieces of equipment.

Job description

You will be working alongside our Warehouse Manager, building flatpack equipment, loading and unloading vans, booking stock in, scanning stock out. Cleaning the returned equipment and booking it back to shelf. This role also includes carrying out repairs to specialised pieces of equipment.

• Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of warehouse skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff
• To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working
• Independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the department
• To undertake and successfully complete the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative course (Level 2)
• Learning and understanding the importance of Health and safety within the workspace
• To develop the skills to construct or modify apparatus and community equipment
• To learn how to maintain workshop equipment and to keep it in good repair
• To maintain a logbook over the duration of the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned
• To maintain and to ensure general good housekeeping of the workplace and cleaning / specialist areas
• To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times whether on or off the site
• To perform any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder

You will be required to complete a DBS check, this will be refreshed every 2 years.
