Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Experience with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., D365) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute day-to-day warehouse activities, including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Monitor stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete all warehouse documentation accurately and on time.

Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience

Department & Location: Operations, Chesterfield, UK

Hours of work: 8.30am - 5pm Some flexibility maybe required due to business demands.

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Internal Relationships: Operations Team

Role Purpose Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations at their Chesterfield site. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Note: This is a lead role but does not involve direct line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations Coordinate and execute day-to-day warehouse activities, including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

Inventory Control Monitor stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.

Quality Assurance Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Health & Safety Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations and promoting best practices.

Process Improvement Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflows, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.

Communication Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics, procurement, and customer service to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.

Documentation Complete all warehouse documentation accurately and on time.
