An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join Mersea Ward at East Suffolk North Essex Foundation Trust, based at Colchester Hospital.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who is passionate about patient care to join our well-established Nursing team, delivering a 24/7 service, and working collaboratively to develop future services.

You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work across professional boundaries.

This role is a Fixed Term/Secondment to cover Maternity Leave from 4th August 2025 to 3rd August 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a Clinical Specialist Team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants, contributing to quality and governance.
  2. Collaborate with other Sisters/Charge Nurses to ensure cohesive service delivery.
  3. Understand current health agendas and national guidance relevant to critical care practice.
