Overview

Are you a motivated, proactive professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in elective orthopaedics? Rowan Ward is seeking a Band 6 to join our dedicated team and help drive the progression of our service across Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Act as a role model in delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
  • Administer medication safely in line with NMC and Trust policies.
  • Support SSIS data collection and follow-up calls, recording information appropriately, in line with GDPR.
  • Manage Ward attenders and review surgical wounds including wound management, as per trust policy.
  • Monitor and review nursing practice to ensure compliance with best practice and Trust frameworks.
  • Provide sensitive care and support to patients and families, particularly around complex needs and emotional aspects of illness.
  • Ensure safe use of medical devices and appropriate use of pressure area care equipment.
