Overview

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a band 6 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on Byland Ward at Harrogate District Hospital. The closing date is 23 September 2025

Main duties of the job

The post is suitable for an experienced band 5 or equivalent who feels that they are ready for a new challenge and who is able to motivate a team. The post holder will need to provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the Ward and have responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of care for patients in the Ward setting and to ensure patients have a positive experience.

The applicant would need to have good communication skills and be able to work closely with patients and families/carers to provide specialist nursing and care. Be able to work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team, providing high quality nursing care for patients to aid them through their acute illness and through the rehabilitation process. To assist in the training of junior staff and students and act as role model.
