Ward Sister/Charge Nurse - E1

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the E1 team as our Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. E1 is a fast-paced, 22-bedded ward specializing in Gastroenterological and Hepatological conditions. We are also developing research projects on the ward that aim to benefit patients in the future.

You will work with a supportive multidisciplinary team of nurses and doctors, and be part of a six-person senior leadership team that values teamwork and peer supervision. Training and support will be provided to ensure you are confident in both clinical and managerial aspects of the role.

Main duties of the job
  • Supporting the Clinical Matron with daily ward operations, staffing management, risk assessments, and governance compliance.
  • Being an engaged member of the senior leadership team to ensure effective ward leadership.
  • Providing clinical leadership, support, and guidance to the ward team regarding patient care and team wellbeing.
