Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, committed, and hardworking person to join our surgical ward Reception team. This environment will provide successful candidates with opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge on our busy surgical wards. Motivated candidates will be supported to work with the clinical teams providing administrative support to the medical staff.

Main duties will be to answer the telephone and carry out general reception duties.

This is a Substantive position offering afternoon shifts working on Surgical Short Stay Unit. Hours - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday are 14:30-20:00 hrs and Wednesday 13:30-20:00 hrs, 28.5 hrs a week.

Suitable candidates will ideally have excellent communication skills, friendly, professional, and approachable, strong IT skills, a hardworking and proactive attitude, and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Main Duties of the Job

To provide high-quality reception services for the Trust, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and Customer Care, act as a first point of contact to patients, relatives, or other members of the public.

The post holder is expected to organize their workload in accordance with the demands of the Department and coordinate their activities to ensure efficiency of service within the organization.
