Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Ward Manager for our hospice services. You will provide visible clinical and operational leadership to a busy ward, ensuring safe, compassionate care and robust governance.

Joining St John's Hospice, you will lead a dedicated nursing team, work with a multidisciplinary group, support staff development, and drive service improvement in line with the Trust's strategies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in ward leadership and management.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive improvements.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide professional, managerial and robust clinical leadership to a

specified ward area. The post holder is responsible for promoting and assuring robust risk

assessment and management processes and will manage within the constraints of the

identified budget as directed by the Service Manager.

The post holder will actively support and participate in the integration of a whole system

approach with multidisciplinary working at all times and will perform delegated duties on

behalf of the Service Manager in their absence.

The post holder will ensure everyone, including staff, patients and visitors, has their right to

be treated with respect and have their values and beliefs maintained, ensuring that they are

treated in such a way that maintains their privacy and dignity.
