Job summary

The Haldon ward at Wonford House in Exeter seeks a Ward Manager to lead a busy inpatient team within a Specialist Eating Disorder Unit. The role covers clinical and operational management, with a focus on compassionate care for up to 10 inpatients and MDT collaboration.

Applicants must be a registered Mental Health Nurse with the NMC and hold a Nursing Pin, plus a nursing degree or diploma. Prior ED experience and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management to the ward and clinical team.
• Provide evidence-based professional support and advice to the MDT.

• Ensure high standards of nursing care per evidence-based practice and policies.
• Ensure implementation of legislation and staff understanding of use.
• Manage allocated budget and ensure efficient resource use.
