We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking, professional, and friendly Senior Nurse to join the team and provide clinical leadership on the Medical Day Case Unit based in Arrowe Park Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, providing an excellent patient experience, and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
The candidate must have enhanced clinical knowledge of day case procedures and ambulatory care models, with competencies in venepuncture, complex management of lines/drains, ANTT practices, and pre/post-operative recovery monitoring. The ability to prioritize own workload and that of the team is essential.
The Medical Day Case Unit enables patients to attend planned day cases and return home the same day. It collaborates with specialties such as Cardiac, Heart Failure, Frailty, Respiratory, Haematology, Gastroenterology, and Diabetic and Endocrine services to promote admission avoidance and safe planned care. The unit also provides recovery for Interventional Radiology patients for same-day discharge following a short recovery period.
