Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Ward Manager for the 19-bed Male Acute Ward at Caludon Centre, Coventry. You will lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, uphold trauma-informed care, and ensure high-quality, compassionate treatment for vulnerable patients.

You will demonstrate strong clinical judgment to manage crises, perform robust risk assessments, and foster collaborative working with staff, patients and other professionals in a demanding hospital environment.

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and motivated individual to join our 19 bedded Male Acute Ward based at Caludon Centre in Coventry.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people that access our service, whilst working in a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team committed to recovery focused care and treatment.

The role will also include working alongside other multi-professionals to provide exceptional mental health care and the ability to provide supportive leadership and sustain cohesive and collaborative working within the staff team, patient group, wider professionals and carers. The candidate will need to have strong clinical judgment that enables them to manage a psychiatric crisis safely and calmly. Have a proven track record to ensure that robust risk assessments and undertaken and can make safe decisions under pressure.

Our Male Acute ward supports men with a variety of mental health needs who require an excellent level of care and treatment in a therapeutic setting. Acute wards are busy and challenging but extremely rewarding environments and if you feel that you have the skill set and the desire to lead within this environment then we are looking for someone like you.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of delivering care from a Trauma Informed approach, to ensure that we promote dignity and empowerment to our patient group. The emphasis will be on the ability to show evidence of previous experiences of leading a team that strive to deliver high quality care with compassion to our patient group.

The role requires a high level of resilience and experience with acute psychiatry.
