The post holder will hold responsibility for the ward team with support from the Clinical Matron and Associate Director of Nursing. They will ensure that they lead and manage the ward so that safe, high quality, evidence based nursing care is delivered to patients whilst respecting and involving families and carers as partners in care.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated that can drive staff forward and help us on our STAQC journey. Someone with higher care experience would be advantageous. The team on the ward are welcoming, approachable, hardworking team players and they are committed to providing a high standard of care.
Please note - this post is not currently allocated to a specific ward area; this will be determined based on the needs of the collaborative.
The post holder will promote the positive image of the clinical area and the Trust by being a role model, having a clear vision and using direct clinical leadership to ensure an excellent patient experience and a ward that promotes both clinical and operational excellence.
As this post is predominantly supervisory, a clear focus on the attainment and maintenance of STAQC Accreditation should be maintained through continuous weekly audit against the agreed standards.
