Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Housekeeper to join the ward team. You will help coordinate patient facilities, sustain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment and support the delivery of cleaning, catering and maintenance tasks as directed by the Supervisory Sister.

You will work with contractors and support services, manage stores/stock, rotate stock (FIFO), and assist patients with drinks and snacks, ensuring fridge temperatures are correct.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a health or social care setting.
• Numeracy and literacy at Level 1 or equivalent.
• IT skills, basic word processing and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, catering, and maintenance tasks to meet patient needs.
• Manage stores/stock under supervision, using online ordering.
• Provide drinks and snacks to patients and maintain ward pantry and fridge temperatures.
• Support the clinical team by handling non-clinical routines to free up patient care time.
