Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join the MAU within the Division of Medicine. You will work a 7-day internal rotation, supporting the Registered Nurse to maintain a clean, well-organised ward and equipment, while ensuring patient dignity and safety.

The role requires basic qualifications or relevant experience, with English proficiency and good communication.

Qualifications

• Evidence of basic level qualifications or able to demonstrate relevant experience.
• Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role.
• Work experience within the role of housekeeper or similar appropriate post.
• Work experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering high quality patient care under supervision.
• Maintain cleaning standards on the ward and ensure equipment is cleaned as policy.
• Keep the ward safe and tidy, promptly dealing with spillages and clutter.
• Maintain patient bed areas and clean isolation nursing areas appropriately.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean and pleasant for patients.
