We arelooking for a motivated and enthusiastic housekeeper who wants to work as partof a dedicated multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to joinour team. Previous experience as a housekeeper is not essential as in-housetraining will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demandsof this role.
Abbott Ward isa 13 bedded Stroke/Rehabilitation ward based at Evesham Community Hospital,Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care Trust. You will be required to work 15 hours a weekover 4-5 days Monday Friday.
Please note the Trust will not providesponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to workin the UK status.
Monitor and maintain high standards of cleaning and hygienestandards of ward including treatment room/stock room/store rooms/dayroom/offices/ kitchen (including fridge and microwave), ensuring allequipment/utensils and surfaces are clean at all times, eg discarding out ofdate food, stock rotation.
Responsible for ensuring the communal areas, day rooms &patient bays are kept clean, tidy and welcoming for patients and visitors.
Support the Ward Manager in helping to ensure the wardenvironment is safe and tidy including the removal of any hazards/clutter. Report any accidents or incidents as perTrust policy.
Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages at the scheduled times.
Prepare and serve hot/cold snacks (eg toast) as requested.
Serve patients meals, adhering to food hygiene regulations.
Be aware of increased nutritional needs. Ensure these needs aremet by assisting patients to eat and drink, eg cutting up food, placing foodwithin easy reach.
Liaise with patients and carers to ensure they have sufficientsupply of clothing and toiletries.
