Two 37.5-hour posts have arisen for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist working in the team at Goole Hospital.

The post holder will be required to provide a welcoming, professional, and courteous service to patients and visitors. This customer-facing role is crucial for the efficient operation of ward areas across the Trust.

Job Overview

As a Ward Clerk/Receptionist, you will assist patients and visitors using various communication methods. Your responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients promptly, ensuring relevant post-admission information is sent to the appropriate personnel, and tracking patients through their care process to ensure timely treatment. The role requires tact, diplomacy, and strict confidentiality.

Main Duties
  • Support a professional and caring service within clinical timescales.
  • Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, updating electronic systems and patient details.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams to complete documentation and manage investigation appointment requests.
