A prominent healthcare organization in Carlisle is seeking a competent Ward Clerk for the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves providing high-standard administrative support while maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities include managing patient related information, overseeing bed management, and facilitating communication within the healthcare team. Ideal candidates should have strong clerical skills and experience in administrative support within a healthcare context.
We are looking for a competent and professional Ward Clerk for the Intensive Care Unit at CIC. As a Ward Clerk you will act as the focal point for the department, maintaining confidentiality at all times. You will provide a high standard of administration support to the Ward Manager, medical staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other departments, patients and visitors. You will assist with the flow of patient relatives and visitors to the department.
Undertake general clerical duties in the clinical area including completing records, filing, photocopying/scanning, handling mail and filing in case notes. Provide an accurate account of bed management e.g. admissions, transfers and discharges. Answer the telephone, relaying any relevant messages when required. Book in elective patients for ITU/HDU beds.
