A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a ward Clerk to join their Child Health team. In this role, you will be responsible for administrative tasks including patient registration, maintaining IT systems, and providing information to families. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in administrative roles within healthcare. This position is critical to ensuring effective operations on the ward.
Child Health at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer the opportunity to join us as a ward Clerk. As an integrated service, we pride ourselves on delivering healthcare at the point of need and are one of the few such organized services within the UK. Northbrook Ward on the Winchester site is an 18-bedded unit that provides care for children requiring admission as an emergency, from The Emergency Department (ED), Sophie’s Place (SP), or GPs. Children may also be booked in for treatment with Oncology, Orthopaedic, General Surgical, or Medical Problems.
Working closely with nursing, medical, other staff, and outside agencies, you will contribute to maintaining and developing an effective administrative, clerical, and secretarial service for inpatients, outpatients, and their families through key tasks such as:
