This is a busy position on the adult Trauma ward, which cares for patients pre- and post-operatively following surgery for a wide range of injuries. The ward clerk role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the ward.
This is an exciting time to join UHD. We employ approximately 10,000 staff, with an ambitious £250m estates programme to deliver state-of-the-art facilities for current and future healthcare needs.

Welcome patients and visitors to the ward, answer questions, and provide relevant information sensitively, referring to qualified team members as necessary.
Undertake clerical and administrative duties on behalf of the ward; liaise with team members and other departments to contribute to the effective and efficient running of the ward.

Some services may move sites temporarily or long-term during this period. Interviewing managers will be happy to answer questions about this during the interview.
There is a planned move for this service during Winter 202x5 to Bournemouth. Upon relocation, excess mileage allowance/reimbursement will not apply, and travel between home and work will be considered a commute. Other changes will be handled according to Trust and national policies.
