Spire Wellesley Hospital are looking for a Ward Clerk to join their wonderful team on the Bank. Should you have a background dealing with customers face-to-face and via telephone, this could still be the role for you!

An opportunity has arisen to become a member of the ward team as a Bank Ward Clerk responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Greet and receive patients, visitors and other members of staff to the wards in a polite and professional manner and to undertake general reception duties.
  • Answer the telephone and relay accurate messages as appropriate.
  • Maintain effective communications between patients, their relatives and the team within the department.
  • Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communications are maintained within the department.
  • General ward administration
  • Provide and receive patient information, ensuring that all patient information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.

Who we're looking for

  • Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
