An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neurosciences Services within the Emergency Care and Trauma Division as a Ward Clerk across wards 12F.

We are recruiting 1 WTE permanent role on ward 12F. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day welcoming of patients, along with other patient administration for the wards. The post holder will support the nursing team to deliver an effective service for patients on the ward.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and experience with patients.

Main duties of the job

The Ward Clerk will be responsible for providing a range of clerical support for the Neuroscience wards (Ward 12E and Ward 12F). The post holder will be an integral part of the ward team, actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and the service.

  • GCSE Level or equivalent standard of education, including English & Mathematics.

Experience
  • Previous clerical/administrative experience.
  • Previous experience of dealing with the public in a customer-facing role.
  • Previous experience of working in a team.
  • Previous clerical experience in NHS setting.
  • Experience of CRS.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
