NHS Tayside is seeking a Ward Assistant for Ward 5 in Medicine for the Elderly. This role is crucial for ward organization and involves clinical, administrative, and housekeeping duties. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess excellent communication and IT skills, and be familiar with NHS systems. An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join Ward 5 within the Medicine for the Elderly team at NHS Tayside. The ward assistant role is pivotal in ward organisation and administrative duties.
You will support the team by carrying out general clinical, administrative, and housekeeping duties within a constantly changing environment.
We are looking for someone who is organized, with excellent communication and IT skills. Familiarity with NHS systems such as Trakcare, PECOS, and SSTS would be beneficial. Good time management and an excellent telephone manner are essential.
The post is based in Ward 5, Ninewells Hospital. The role involves data collection and close collaboration with the procurement department.
Hours of work are currently Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
