We are looking for a Site WAN Architect to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the secure Defence and National Security sector. Your role will involve providing technical leadership within a project, understanding the business and technical requirements, and you will be responsible for producing the relevant design collateral, including passing any governance reviews, and ensuring effective technical delivery of the solution.

Your experience:

  1. Demonstrable experience of understanding the customer's business and technical requirements and issues and producing solid network solutions.
  2. Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from multiple global network vendors (e.g., Cisco and Juniper), including the production of quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support.
  3. Strong technical networking knowledge with industry-recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA-Design, or JNCIA-Junos.
  4. Able to create non-standard solutions that may incorporate any of the following: LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber and Security technologies. Liaise with others in the Program team where solutions cross responsibility borders.
  5. Solid understanding of the project end-to-end life cycle, from initial requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance into Service, including good commercial and financial awareness in terms of understanding risks and dependencies associated with any delivery project.
  6. Able to support project and programme management with any reporting, and to ensure timely project delivery that meets the customer's expectations.
  7. Excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders, able to take ownership and responsibility and make quick decisions. Ability to communicate calmly and concisely with the Customer.
  8. Ideally with previous experience working within the UK defence sector.

This role will require you to become security cleared to a high level. Please visit National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK.

Please note: It’s still worth applying even if you do not meet all the requirements above. We are passionate about investing in you and your career, and if you have the transferable skills/background, this could be the next opportunity for you.

Your benefits:

  1. 25 Days annual leave plus public holidays (3 flexible)
  2. Pension – Double matching contributions of up to 10%
  3. Life assurance
  4. Companywide incentive plans
  5. Your choices (Flexible benefits such as increased holidays/travel/dental critical illness and more)
