Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a Waking Nights Support Worker for our Children’s Residential Home. You’ll be awake during night shifts providing safety, emotional reassurance, and a calm, consistent presence to vulnerable children and young people.

You will monitor wellbeing, complete logs and safeguarding reports, support bedtimes and morning routines, and help maintain a therapeutic environment in line with care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional reassurance and a calm, consistent night-time presence.
• Monitor wellbeing and respond to distress or incidents overnight.
• Complete logs, safeguarding reports, and handovers to the day team.
• Support bedtimes, morning routines, breakfast, and personal care if needed.
• Carry out regular checks to keep the home safe and peaceful.
• Support the home’s therapeutic approach and behavioural strategies.
