Job summary

My Life Legacy in Hindley, Wigan, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker / Personal Assistant to join a team providing waking night support to a lady at her home. You will help with personal care, mobility and daily activities, promoting health, wellbeing and independence in a respectful, person-centred way.

The role is permanent with flexible hours (full-time or part-time) and a pay rate of £13.29 per hour, with enhanced rates during Christmas and bank holidays, plus a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as Support Worker or PA
• Positive, proactive approach to care
• Team player with initiative
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in line with health plan and preference, with dignity and respect.
• Support a young lady with epilepsy who uses a wheelchair, communicating with gestures and facial expressions.
• Work night shifts (2:1 day, 1:1 night) to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor health, independence and wellbeing and report changes to the team.
• Follow established care plans and policies and maintain clear records.
