JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

HOURS: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

LOCATION: Liskeard, Cornwall PL14

SALARY: £12.00 - £12.70* per hour

About our Service:

We are recruiting for a young man who lives in his own property. He is sociable and participates in various community-based activities such as theatre groups, swimming, and gym. He enjoys cooking and is encouraged to maintain a healthy diet. He takes pride in owning and maintaining his home to a high standard. The property is located close to local amenities and main transport links. 24/7 support with sleep-ins is required, with flexible shift patterns.

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Liskeard provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and Acquired Brain Injuries.


As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Prompting service users' independence while helping them live a fulfilling life
  • Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
  • Maintaining and assisting with healthcare needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administering medication
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping
  • Assisting with personal care (depending on the service user)
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking

Experience in the care sector is not essential as we offer full training; however, enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day are crucial to support people in living happy and healthy lives.
