Overview

Love late nights and a good laugh? This role supports Mike in his evening and overnight routine, offering positive encouragement and helping him make healthy choices. The shift is 9pm to 9am, with rotas planned to support a healthy work-life balance. The team aims to be self-directed and collaborative, even when working alone.

Contract: 12hrs

Responsibilities
  • Support Mike with his evening and overnight routine, encourage his involvement and independence, including basic cooking, light household tasks, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide positive encouragement and engage in conversations, sharing humor and interests to keep Mike connected and engaged.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to find creative ways to support understanding, such as developing bespoke resources that promote health and new activities.
  • Maintain reliability and responsibility as the team moves toward self-direction and leadership when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Essential: Comfortable with lone working, being awake all night, and supporting with personal hygiene.
  • Be outgoing with a good sense of humor, highly self-motivated, eager to learn and develop within the role.
  • Empathetic, understanding, and an effective communicator for both Mike and the team.
  • Creative thinker with good computer skills and an interest in Mike’s hobbies (gaming, music, treasure hunting, gardening, metal detecting, 80s cartoons/films).
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role; be happy to adapt to bespoke approaches.
