Qualifications

Job description

We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as normal a life as they can achieve. To help them achieve this, you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep-ins.

Responsibilities include participating in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment, maintaining effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality, supporting service users with meals, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events, maintaining accurate notes and records, and working as part of a team to provide high-quality care.

Requirements include a Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one, experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues, the ability to stay calm under pressure, confidence to work independently or in a team, excellent communication skills, passion for working with vulnerable adults, and a commitment to safeguarding standards.
