Job summary

CareTech is hiring a Waking Night Support Worker in Kingston, Canterbury. Must be a driver with a valid licence to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

Shifts include mornings starting at 8am and potential post-shift transport home. The role offers part-time hours (24 hours/week) and ongoing training within a supportive team at Kingston House, rated good by CQC.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Driving licence is essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
