Aspris is recruiting for a Waking Nights Support Worker in Stoke-on-Trent. You will provide overnight care and supervision for young people, ensuring safety and emotional well-being throughout the night. The role involves welfare checks, incident response, record keeping and contributing to a calm, supportive home environment.
The role emphasizes high attention to detail, CPD and development opportunities, and a clear progression pathway within a growing organisation.
Park View, based in Stoke on Trent, provides provision for young adults aged 16-25 years of age who have mild to severe learning difficulties. This includes emotional, social and behavioural difficulties or disabilities. With needs increasingly more complex, our home uses meaningful, practical learning activities to engage and motivate young people, and to provide them with the life skills they require to succeed. This means that your role will be varied in the sense that you will support our young people with their learning by accompanying them to college, as well as going out into the local community to take part in fun activities.
At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That's why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that's shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.
While the world sleeps, as a Waking Nights Support Worker you will be making a real difference! You'll help create a safe, supportive, and caring environment where children and young people can feel secure and settled. Providing overnight care, supervision, and support to children and young people within the home, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and emotional needs are met throughout the night.
You will also be expected to conduct welfare checks, respond to incidents, maintain accurate records, undertake household duties, and contribute to creating a stable, safe, and nurturing environment.
At Aspris, learning never stops - and that's something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.
