Job description

Our Children's Residential Home Norris Thorpe, are looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Night Residential Support Worker to join our team! At Norris Thorpe, relationships come first. We laugh together, support one another through the challenges, and celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small. We believe that by creating a positive, supportive environment for our staff, we create the very best home for our young people. Every child who lives with us is unique, and we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stable home where they feel valued, listened to and empowered to reach their full potential. We understand that positive outcomes are built through consistency, compassion and genuine relationships, and these values are at the heart of everything we do.

At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That’s why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that’s shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving license is essential.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.

At Aspris, learning never stops - and that’s something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.

To support you, we offer continuous CPD and development opportunities, helping you grow and become the best version of yourself.

What does this mean?

  • Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6-months of starting a Residential Support role
  • The opportunity to be qualified to degree level
