Job summary

Consensus Support Services is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker for Beach Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex. Join a team dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs during night hours to enable independence and wellbeing.

You will help with daily living, engagement in activities, and effective communication. Shifts are rotational nights, part-time to full-time equivalent across 37.5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Commitment to empowering people with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support people to engage in meaningful activities and community life.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care as needed.
• Promote inclusion and effective communication with individuals and staff.

Your Role

Our Support Workers are our greatest asset. You may be new to care or already have experience in the social care sector as Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant but your values are most important to us.

• Beach Road is a residential home for people with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenges, situated in the West Sussex coastal town of Littlehampton. Located right next to the coast, days out to the beach are a must. The small, highly specialised home provides very high levels of care whilst enabling the people we support to live as part of an integrate within the local community.
• Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences.
• Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions.
• Communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs, and helping people to communicate effectively with others, too.
• Shifts: Rotational Nights, 37.5 hours per week.
